Outstanding Federal style sideboard by the Potthast Bros. of Baltimore, 1892-1975. It bears a Potthast label c. 1930. There is a center bowfront of two drawers with cupboards on either side, six tapered line and bellflower inlaid legs terminating in spade feet . In mahogany , with beautifully figured mahogany veneers, this sideboard showcases the extraordinary detail and variety of Baltimore inlay used in the Federal period,
the stringing, paterae in olive and satinwood, bookend panels and oval panel in cartouche center to the top drawer.Dimensions are 63″ x39″h x23″d.
