An elegant Egyptian Revival fall front desk  from New York  . In mahogany, with wonderful  signed hardware by the famous, still extant,  P.E. Guerin Hardware. {see The Magazine Antiques, May 2002} Last quarter of the 19thc. 29″ to the writing surface, 40 1/2″ w. and 41 1/2″h. Found in Chester, Pa. Restored, minor loss to narrow brass trim to the sides at top edge. Great condition , color and patina. A practical accent piece to bring style and character to any room!
